Glacius lands the Grade 1 Saratoga Derby for trainer Hugo Palmer and owner Vefa Ibrahim Araci, becoming Too Darn Hot’s fifth individual Group/Grade 1 winner of 2026.
Title Role, another Grade 1 winner for Too Darn Hot this year, also finished third to complete an excellent result for the sire.
With five individual Group/Grade 1 winners worldwide in 2026, Too Darn Hot joined Night Of Thunder and Into Mischief at the top of the standings for individual top-level winners this year.
Glacius’ victory also saw Too Darn Hot become one of only four European stallions this century to sire a Group/Grade 1-winning three-year-old from each of his first three crops.
His progeny have now recorded 16 Group/Grade 1 victories across both hemispheres, more than any other European sire since 2000 had achieved at the same stage of their career, further underlining the exceptional start Too Darn Hot has made to his stallion career.
