It was a memorable evening under the lights at Park Paddocks during the Tattersalls December Mare Sale, as two outstanding mares from our draft each realised 1,300,000 guineas in the prestigious Sceptre Sessions.
The Sceptre Sessions once again showcased the very best of the European breeding industry, and we were delighted to present two mares of exceptional pedigree and quality, both of whom attracted strong international interest throughout the sale.
Leading the way was Lot 1724, Chère Demoiselle, a beautifully bred mare and half-sister to champion sire Too Darn Hot. Offered in foal to Zarak, she combined an elite page with an appealing physical, making her one of the standout offerings of the evening. After sustained bidding, she was secured by Jon Freyer on behalf of Arrowfield Stud, one of the world’s leading breeding operations.
Shortly afterwards, Lot 1735, the Group 3-winning Lady Boba, continued the momentum. In foal to the outstanding sire Night Of Thunder, she represented a rare opportunity to acquire a proven performer carrying a highly commercial covering. She was purchased by Ecurie des Monceaux, another internationally renowned nursery with a proven record of success at the highest level.
To see both mares reach the same significant figure of 1,300,000 guineas was a proud moment for the team and a reflection of the depth, quality and careful preparation behind the draft.
