Since 2004, Watership Down Stud has never been out of the top 10 consigners of yearlings at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale, a remarkable statistic for an operation that sells an average of just 14 yearlings per year.
Tattersalls Mare Sale Success
We have built a formidable reputation as one of the leading vendors at the Tattersalls December Breeding Stock Sale, preparing mares and fillies both in and out of training, which are consigned under the Watership Down Stud banner.
Results in recent years have been outstanding, including last year when we sold two mares for 1.3 million guineas in the Sceptre Sessions.
Expert Sales Preparation
We pride ourselves on achieving the best possible results for our clients. Each horse receives individual, tailored care from our highly experienced staff, and we work closely with the best specialist farriers and veterinarians in the industry to ensure your bloodstock arrives at the sales perfectly prepared.
As an example, all of our yearlings are walked in hand daily by their dedicated handler prior to sale, ensuring they are relaxed and confident when shown to prospective buyers and when walking through the sales ring.
